We aim to empower refugees and asylum seekers by providing support and training tailored to individual circumstances. We recognise that in addition to lacking language competency, refugees often lack other attributes needed to become self-employed or find a job, including vocational skills, knowledge of where to look for work and how to apply, local employment experience and knowledge of local work norms. We specialise in filling this gap.
75% of the staff’s work is with refugees and asylum seekers.
We welcome refugees and asylum seekers from all over the world and support them as much as we can. Even if it’s something as small as providing access to our computers and internet and helping them with research, or simply providing them access to our telephones so they make calls. We assist with CV formats, job applications, volunteer opportunities for work experience - for those looking for employment.
For those starting up businesses, we also advise them accordingly, giving opinions on business plans and next steps to be taken.
80% of our activities are based on job training for refugees.
We hold various workshops on a regular basis, having mentors and experts come in and deliver the trainings.
Activities are especially centred around those individuals looking to kick-start their careers, in whatever fields.
Other activities include networking opportunities with other organisations.
