1. Migration & Employment Support Officer
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £24,940 per annum
Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week
Start Date: Immediate
Holidays: 5.6 weeks
Location: Swansea Office, 222B High Street, SA1 1NW
Reporting to: Chief of Staff
Probationary period: 3 Months
Role Purpose:

Vital role in ending workplace exploitation of migrants and refugees in Wales.

Provides direct support to individuals facing workplace inequalities.

Drives systemic changes for fairness and equality in the workplace.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct Support to Beneficiaries:
-
Deliver holistic case support to employed individuals, job seekers, and newly arrived migrants.
-
Offer guidance in overcoming employment challenges.
-
Provide career development support and navigate job markets.
-

Community Engagement and Outreach:
-
Lead community outreach to identify and assist those at risk.
-
Build strong relationships with beneficiaries to integrate their voices into the project.

Project Collaboration and Advisory Panel Support:

Assist in recruiting and collaborating with the Advisory Panel.

Liaise with employment professionals and project partners.
-
Secure commitments from employers for inclusive workplace practices.

Awareness Raising and Advocacy:

Lead offline and online awareness-raising initiatives.

Represent the project in public forums and media engagements.

Maintain an engaged presence on social media.

Administration:

Prepare monthly reports and gather case studies.

Participate in review sessions and manage resources efficiently.

Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educated to Level 3 or higher
-
Experience in social support or public sector
-
Understanding of migrant challenges

Proficiency in digital tools and English

Other languages skills are a bonus
Practical Requirements:

Availability for some evening work

Willingness to undergo a basic DBS check
