Thanks to support from the Welsh Government and WCVA, we have purchased a property on Swansea’s prominent Oxford Street.
The HUB & Cafe/Restaurant (Ground Floor)
Our plan is to create the first vegan African cafe restaurant in Wales by transforming the ground floor of the building, offering a unique blend of African cuisine with locally sourced Welsh vegetables, curated by top chefs, and complemented by fairtrade coffee and plastic-free locally made cakes and snacks.
The Tech & Gaming HUB (Basement Level)
The basement will serve as a tech and gaming hub, offering community members access to fast broadband, computers, game consoles, coding sessions with volunteers, and opportunities for young people to engage in various digital activities, including competitive gaming, cryptocurrency trading, online networking, and digital activism, fostering socialisation and enjoyment while also enhancing accessibility for job and volunteer applications through our empowerment, employability, and enterprise support programs.
The HUB & Innovation Spaces (Upper Floors)
The 1st floor will feature toilets, a shower, a quiet contemplation room with green infrastructure, including plants, suitable for meditation, prayer, or connecting with nature, along with a prayer room and showers to accommodate individuals from religious communities with varying prayer times. Additionally, there will be a spacious open-plan coworking area overlooking Oxford Street, ideal for students, local entrepreneurs, or anyone seeking a comfortable workspace or collaborative project environment.
Consultation, Innovation & Office Spaces (2nd Floor)
The 2nd floor will serve as a modern office environment to support the charity's services, featuring a combination of open-plan and private rooms, and these office spaces will also be offered for rent to local entrepreneurs and individuals seeking workspace solutions.
